Fitness Class Descriptions

Spin/Indoor Cycling -  often also called spinning, as an organized activity, is a form of exercise with classes focusing on endurance, strength, intervals, high intensity and recovery, and involves using a special stationary exercise bicycle with a weighted flywheel in a classroom setting.

Yoga - Work on your 3 components of physical fitness: strength, balance, and flexibility.

Power Yoga - Power yoga, which is also known as Vinyasa yoga, is a fast-paced style of yoga that's focused on building strength and endurance. ... Although it requires mindfulness and focus on your breathing, power yoga is more dynamic than meditative forms of yoga, and provides a good cardio and strength-training workout.

Core Yoga - Core Yoga is one of the multi-disciplinary and more vigorous types of yoga that strengthens and empowers the body, mind, and spirit.

Insanity - is a revolutionary cardio-based total body conditioning program based on the principles of MAX Interval Training. By using MAX Interval Training, INSANITY pushes the participant to new training heights, resulting in more calories burned, faster results, and a more efficient metabolism.

Boot Camp - This is a total body functional fitness class with emphasis on core and cardio weighted segments, so if you like flipping tires and swinging sledgehammers then this is the class for you.....See you on the hill.

Power Cut - Power cut class is a series of exercises using hand weights, stretch bands, and barbells coupled with calisthenics.

Zumba - Pretty much the most awesome workout ever. Dance to great music, with great people, and burn a ton of calories without even realizing it. Zumba takes the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise.

Zumba Toning - Zumba Toning combines body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work infused with Zumba moves to create a calorie-torching, strength-training fitness party. Students learn how to use lightweight toning sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones, including arms, abs, and thighs.

Water Aerobics - Water Aerobics is designed for those who like a variety of cardiovascular, muscular, endurance and flexibility training without the stress on your joints and muscles.  We work the entire body with hand weights, noodles kick boards and more. Great for those recovering from back and knee injuries and anyone wanting a lower impact total body workout.

Aqua Zumba - is perfect for those who are looking to make a splash by adding a low-impact, high-energy aquatic exercise to their fitness routine.  Aqua Zumba blends the Zumba philosophy with water resistance, for one pool party you shouldn’t miss! There is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Zumba class so you can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles.

Aqua Power - Aqua Power is the next step up from Aqua and features impact free exercises designed to improve balance, agility, posture, flexibility and core strength. Aqua is an impact free class designed to improve balance, agility, posture, flexibility and core strength.

Float2Fit - Is a fun and challenging total body exercise which focuses on balance and strengthening your core.  Having good balance and a strong core is important to support your body through all daily activities.  All exercises are done while balancing on boards similar to paddle boards. This class is a hybrid of isometric exercises, yoga moves and the use of resistance bands.

Mobility Flow -  A blend of functional stretching, yoga basics, and mobility exercises, this flow class is a relaxing and rejuvenating format designed to promote an increased range of motion, enhanced body and spatial awareness, balance, coordination, and flexibility.

Strength & Conditioning - This total body workout focuses on cardiorespiratory fitness and resistance training. Skills targeted include agility work, functional movement quality, and increased strength and endurance.

SOULstrength - A creative blend of rhythmic resistance, cardio conditioning, manageable mobility and core strength exercises all set to crazy FUN music." In layman's terms, it is a choreographed dumbbell workout with short bursts of cardio (generally about 4 sets of 40 seconds) between sets.

Mindful Yoga - An all-levels yoga class that allows you to connect your breathing, body and movement in a mindful way, inviting connection and inner peace.

TRX - TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user's body weight to complete the exercises.

Power Pump - is the original barbell workout that strengthens your entire body!  This 60-minute program challenges all your major muscle groups by using the BEST weight room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls.  Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight inspire you to get the results you came for-and fast.

HIIT - Boost your metabolism and burn more fat than traditional cardio workouts during this High Intensity Interval Training class!
