ACS Presents: Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and ACS has these FREE events to unite Fort Leavenworth against Domestic Violence and intimate partner abuse! 

Fort Leavenworth's Army Community Service (ACS) invites the community to participate in a series of impactful, family-focused events promoting healing, safety, and support.

Featured Events Include:

1. Wear Purple Thursdays (Every Thursday in October): Show your support for survivors by wearing purple. Send your photos to ACS Family Advocacy.

2. Domestic Violence Awareness Proclamation Signing (Oct. 2 at 1:30 PM, 600 Thomas Ave.): Join us as we raise our voices and awareness.

3. Relationship Education Series via TEAMS (Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28): Learn how to improve your communication and have respectful boundaries with your loved ones and peers. 

4. "Let's Chalk about Domestic Violence" (Oct. 14): Join the Family Advocacy Program for this art contest to raise awareness about Domestic Violence. Head over to the Fort Leavenworth MWR FB page for contest details. 

5. Family Advocacy Overview Brief (Oct. 15 at 1 PM, Post Theater):  Come and learn about what the Family Advocacy Program does and how it can help you and the ones you love! 

6.  Winners announced from the "Let's Chalk about Domestic Violence" (Oct. 17, Fort Leavenworth MWR FB page): Head over to the Fort Leavenworth MWR FB page to see if you've won! 

7. Break the Silence Glow Walk (Oct. 24 at Gruber Field): Join us for a powerful and illuminating evening dedicated to raising awareness for Domestic Violence.
